If my child enters as an individual (not connected with a school), how will finalist be selected?

If your child enters as an individual and does not have a participating teacher or youth advisor who would determine a finalist, then division finalists from all individual entries received will be determined and submitted by the Fulton County Health Department Staff.

who determines the finalist criteria within the school or organization?  

Each school or organization is able to determine their own criteria for finalist entries.  Some suggested considerations might include the interpretation of the theme, originality, creativity, and/or technical skill.

How do i submit a physical piece of art?

If you have an entry that is best viewed in person and would like to submit this entry please email us at HC3Partnership@gmail.com to discuss drop off information.

How many finalists can be submitted for each school or organization?

We are looking for schools or organizations to submit a maximum of one finalist in each category for each division.  

Example:

Division One finalists could include a maximum of four: one for 2D/3D art, one for written, one for digital, and one for “other”

I AM A YOUTH WHO DOESN'T HAVE A TEACHER OR YOUTH ADVISOR that HAS JOINED THE CONTEST. HOW CAN I ENTER?

This contest is open to any young person who "lives, works or plays" in Fulton County, 1st-12th grade.  Please submit your entry with the required information listed above to HC3Partnership@gmail.com.

Are there additional finalist entry requirements such as framing or matting?

Framing and matting is not required.  


The only entry requirements are the young person's name, school, grade, a brief explanation of the artists interpretation of the theme,** and a signed copy of the parent permission form, which is available for print here


** Entries that are NOT in the Written Category will require a brief explanation of your theme interpretation detailing how an adult has positively influenced you, why it made such an impact and how this is depicted in your creative media.  If your entry is in the Written Category this requirement is waived. **

ENTRY SUBMISSION

Participating schools and organizations will select finalists after March 3rd.   • April 15, 2020 Participating Schools and Organizations must submit finalist entry forms by the end of the day
  • April 30, 2020 Overall Division Winners Selected & Announced

Scholarship opportunity

One overall winner in each division will be selected by the HC3 coalition.  Division One county-wide winner will receive a $150 scholarship, Division Two county-wide winner will receive a $50 gift card to Skye Cinema, and Division Three winner will receive a $50 gift card to Sauder Village.


Winning entries will be featured on various digital and social media pages and will be displayed at the 2020 Fulton County Fair.
